“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18
In a world where many people quietly struggle to put food on the table, care for their families, or meet their most basic needs, the Church has a powerful opportunity to become a visible expression of God’s love.
At Destined To Reign Church in Luanda, Angola, we believe that the Gospel is not only something we preach—it is something we demonstrate through compassion, generosity, service, and practical action.
Recently, our church organized a special outreach ceremony dedicated to supporting vulnerable members of our community. We reached out to people facing poverty, hardship, illness, disability, and difficult living conditions, providing practical assistance and, most importantly, reminding them that they are not forgotten and they are not alone.

A Mission Beyond the Church Walls
Destined To Reign is committed to seeing lives transformed—not only spiritually, but also socially and practically.
Our vision is simple:
To help people move from survival to dignity, from hopelessness to hope, and from dependency to a better future.
Poverty affects more than a person’s financial situation. It can affect families, education, health, confidence, opportunities, and the ability to dream about tomorrow.
For an elderly person who has no one to depend on, a simple food package can mean a great deal.
For someone living with a disability or illness, practical support can bring relief.
For a struggling family, knowing that someone cares can restore hope.
And for someone who feels forgotten by society, a helping hand can become a powerful reminder of God’s love.
This is why we believe that every act of kindness matters.
Serving Those Who Are Often Forgotten
The people represented in these photographs are more than recipients of assistance. They are people with stories, families, dreams, struggles, and God-given dignity.
Our outreach seeks to stand alongside those who are vulnerable and help meet genuine needs in our community.
We do not want to simply give people something for one day and walk away.
We want to build a vision that can grow.
Our long-term desire is to develop sustainable community initiatives that can address areas such as:
- 🍚 Food assistance for vulnerable families
- 👵 Support for elderly people living in difficult circumstances
- ♿ Assistance for people living with disabilities
- 🏥 Support for people facing illness and hardship
- 👨👩👧👦 Support for vulnerable families and children
- 📚 Education and skills development
- 💼 Opportunities that can help people become self-reliant
- ❤️ Pastoral care, prayer, encouragement, and spiritual support
We believe charity should not only respond to today’s need. Wherever possible, it should also help create a pathway toward tomorrow.

The Hands and Feet of Christ
Jesus taught us that caring for people in need is deeply connected to our faith.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink…”
— Matthew 25:35
This is the heart behind our outreach.
When we feed someone who is hungry, we demonstrate compassion.
When we visit someone who is suffering, we demonstrate compassion.
When we help an elderly person, we demonstrate compassion.
When we stand beside a struggling family, we demonstrate compassion.
When we give someone hope, dignity, and encouragement, we demonstrate the love of Christ.
