Stay away from everything that is evil. (NCV )
Papa God created life with principles that we cannot ignore. He made us in His image so that we would reflect His character, for there is no evil in Him. Sin has corrupted the minds of people and has affected the way they think and act. If everyone has strong moral values and chose to do good, society would be a much better place to live.
People act according to their choices and decisions because each person has the responsibility to govern his or her own emotions and actions. As children of Papa God, we are called to be good people who do good, because doing good is part of our God-given nature. It is my personal responsibility to keep myself away from evil; no one else can do it for me.
The Bible teaches us to abstain from every form of evil. We must live rightly not only in the sight of God but also in the sight of people. Doing good strengthens our testimony as Christians and builds trust in the words we speak. The Word of God is our standard, and anything that violates His Word is wrong.
One of the best ways to avoid evil is to remain committed to doing good.
Evil can bring negative consequences into our lives and open doors to the enemy. Therefore, do not destroy yourself by embracing evil. Instead, choose to be a person who consistently does good and lives according to the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
Declaration
Father, I thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit to guide me throughout my journey in life. I choose to do good always, and I reject every form of evil. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for helping me uphold the standard of goodness, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
